Volkswagen will implement the Comdata Mastercard, which is enabled to cover the needs of both electric vehicles (EV) and fuel fleets. The Comdata Mastercard provides access to numerous charging and fueling stations and facilitates EV charging while offering actionable data, according to a press release on Friday (July 8).

“Comdata is committed to advancing the best practices and strategies for EV adoption for fleets,” Comdata Vice President of Large Market Sales Bryant Evans said in the announcement.

Evans added that fleet owners and managers have numerous daily challenges and the Comdata Mastercard is just one way that its team is working to help solves those issues. The Comdata Mastercard offers customers tracking and documentation of EV charging, as well as solutions to address “range anxiety,” according to the release.

Powered by Motorq, Comdata’s solution taps connected-car data and analytics captured directly from electric vehicles so fleet managers can provide the right reimbursement to employees for EV charging costs.
