Perfect Corp. Unveils AI-Powered Makeup Tutorial Platform

YouCam App

Beauty tech company Perfect Corp. is launching a new digital makeup tutorial solution, giving brands the ability to present step-by-step lessons using artificial intelligence (AI) and augmented reality (AR).

YouCam Tutorial provides brushstroke overlay animation, which virtually educates consumers on the correct makeup application techniques, “providing a one-of-a-kind makeup tutorial experience,” the company said in its announcement. The first partners to use the new product are makeup artists at The Nolcha Shows at New York Fashion Week. The Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solution also includes integrated eCommerce capabilities, allowing customers to buy the products and tools used in the tutorial with one click.

“We are excited to introduce the advanced YouCam Tutorial innovation to our lineup of SaaS offerings, delivering a truly unique, individualized, guided beauty tutorial experience that connects brands and customers in a whole new way,” said Perfect Corp. Founder and CEO Alice Chang in the company announcement.

Chang added that the real-time tutorial and brushstroke animation builds on the company’s previous work to create a virtual beauty counter experience “by offering guided step-by-step education to drive customer satisfaction and sales.”
