PetSmart is already the largest specialty pet retailer in the region, and it continues to grow. The latest Colorado location is part of an 80-store U.S.-Canada-Puerto Rico-wide expansion effort in 2016 to grow the pet supply store’s retail footprint.

“We are thrilled to celebrate this milestone with our associates and the community of Sheridan, Colo,” Michael Massey, president and chief executive officer of PetSmart, said. “Just last week, we launched the new and improved, mobile-responsive PetSmart.com site, a key omnichannel strategy for us.

Less than two weeks ago, PetSmart also rolled out a new delivery service in partnership with on-demand startup Deliv. The service, which allows for same-day delivery, will first be made available in four California cities, including Los Angeles and San Francisco. Locations in Las Vegas, Atlanta, Miami, Seattle and Chicago will also feature delivery, with eight more planned to debut in the coming months.

It was also announced that all PetSmart stores will also be closed on Thanksgiving.
