Robinhood Agents, announced Tuesday (Sept. 29) at the company’s HOOD Summit 2026 in Houston, are designed to help Robinhood customers develop strategies, conduct research or trade automatically.
“With safety and security at its core, we’re setting the standard for what agentic finance can be,” Abhishek Fatehpuria, vice president of product management at Robinhood, said in a news release. “Whether you’re an expert or are just getting started with AI, you’re at a disadvantage if you’re not using Robinhood.”

The launch follows May’s rollout of agentic trading, which allows customers to connect their third-party agents to Robinhood. Since then, more than 15,000 users have opened agentic trading accounts, with agents using Robinhood’s tools almost 30 million times a day, the company said.
As covered here last month, services like this “are targeting a specific, already-identified behavior,” with PYMNTS Intelligence research showing that power users, consumers using artificial intelligence to complete 27 or more distinct tasks a month, represent 10% of all consumers.
Mainstream AI users, by comparison, average about eight tasks a month and focus more on lower-complexity activities such as comparison shopping, while holdouts who have yet to adopt AI at all still account for 53% of the population and 72% of baby boomers.
The research also shows power users growing more reliant as they grow in number. Their average monthly task count climbed from 25 in September to 27 in December, with 75% saying they have used AI for at least a year.
It’s this population that companies like Robinhood are “racing to serve, consumers who have already moved past using AI to occasionally research a stock and toward folding it into a regular financial routine,” PYMNTS wrote.
Meanwhile, Robinhood says it is expanding its trade hours to allow customers to trade select U.S. equities 24/7, weekends included. An extension of the Robinhood 24 Hour Market, launched in 2023, this service lets customers trade hundreds of stocks and ETFs from Sunday at 8 p.m. ET through Friday at 8 p.m. ET.
“Breaking news doesn’t wait for an opening bell. With the upcoming launch of weekend trading, we’re making sure our customers won’t have to either, no matter what day it is,” said Steve Quirk, Robinhood’s chief brokerage officer.
