After years of collaborating with SRI — the company that built Apple’s digital assistant platform, Siri — BBVA Compass is set to launch a new digital assistant specifically designed for the banking industry.
Called “Lola,” the new program can set up payments, find previous transactions, and keep track of due dates, TechCrunch reports. BBVA Chief Innovation Officer Beatriz Lara Bartolomé says the new technology could have an impact on delivering banking services to the world’s underbanked consumers, who are more likely to use mobile devices for financial services.
