Cardtronics Acquires ATM Network

Cardtronics, a Houston company that owned nearly 53,000 ATMs at the end of 2011, acquired ATM Network for an undisclosed price. At the time of acquisition, ATM Network had roughly 6,200 own-and-load ATMs under contract with merchant clients, a release explains.

    Cardtronics reported $192 million in revenues in its last quarterly financial update. The publicly traded company’s stock hovered around its opening price of $30.56 on Wednesday, varying loosely between $30 and $31. With more than 44 million shares outstanding, the company’s market cap is above $1 billion.
