Banco Sabadell Partners With Telefonica, Blackberry For NFC Trial

Banco Sabadell has partnered with Telefonica and BlackBerry to initiate a pilot test for payments with mobile NFC phones in Spain, Finextra reported. Trial participants can pay for purchases using a Visa card embedded in the SIM on a BlackBerry Curve smartphone. A mobile wallet app from Telefonica is used to make contactless payments at the terminal and to track spending.
