European Commission Extends Anti-Trust Investigation To Cover Isda

The European Commission has been working on a two-year-long anti-trust investigation speculating the market for credit default swaps. The Commission has recently extended their investigation to observe the activities of International Swaps and Derivatives Association (Isda), reported Finextra.

    The Commission explained there have been indications leading them to believe that Isda may have had involvement with activities, which may have lead to stifling competition within the internal market. If such activities occurred, it would be in violation of the EU antitrust regulations.
