Kenya-based mobile wallet provider Kipochi has announced a new service that allows customers to send and receive Bitcoins via their M-Pesa balances. The Swahili-language wallet works from any mobile phone, and can be used around the world.
“Now with Kipochi, the remittances into Kenya has a faster and cheaper way to reach even the most remote areas in Kenya, villages with no banks or Western Union services – in an instant,” Pelle Braendgaard, the company’s CTO, said in a statement.
