Global Mobile Ticketing To Triple In Growth By 2018
New research from Juniper predicts that global mobile ticketing transactions will triple to 16 billon euros annually by 2018. Markets across the EU region are adopting mobile ticketing schemes and largely contribute to the volume growth. The report points to the Swedish market where there has been strong adoption of such services. Sixty-five percent of Sweden’s bus ticketing services are done through mobile ticketing. The research indicates that future growth will be largely due to a increase in metro and bus mobile ticketing deployments, especially in the United States.
