European eCommerce Sales Expected To Double By 2018

European online retail sales are predicted to double by 2018, according to a Mintel study reported by eCommerce Europe. The report shows that Germany, France and the UK are the leading countries in terms of the largest eCommerce markets. These countries are projected to sustain their position in the market, but other countries such as the Netherlands, Spain and Poland will grow at faster rates.

    Interestingly, the report also indicates that British consumers are frequently online grocery store shoppers. When it comes to delivery options, British and French shoppers prefer click-and-collect options, compared to Germans who prefer to have their products delivery directly.
