A cash-payment kiosk system for marijuana sales has been developed by Kansas City, Mo.-based software company Agrisoft and C4EverSystems LLC, according to a report in the Kansas City Business Journal.

    The system is meant to address the fact that most banks refuse to do business with marijuana sellers, even in states where it is legal, leaving sellers with large amounts of cash.

    The kiosk, which is as strong as an ATM, handles sales and records transactions, even ensuring that the proper taxes are collected. Such systems are already in use by state and local governments to collect traffic fines and utility fees.
