Mastercard Adds New, Expanded Benefits for Small Business Cardholders

Aiming to help small- to medium-sized business (SMB) owners enhance their operations and boost their digital capabilities, Mastercard has announced several new and expanded benefits available to its SMB cardholders in the United States.

In three new partnerships, cardholders can now access a variety of savings offers on eligible products and services from the Adobe Creative Cloud, McAfee cybersecurity offerings and the Priority Pass airport lounge network, Mastercard said Monday (Oct. 3) in a press release.

In addition, extended benefits now include additional savings offers on ShopRunner free two-day shipping and free returns at dozens of stores, Stride insurance benefits, Uber Freight shipping services and Uber for Business rides and deliveries, according to the release.

“American small businesses have proved their resiliency in recent years but still face pressures to optimize their operations,” Mastercard North America Small Business Lead Ginger Siegel said in the release. “As a part of our commitment to support the small business community, we’re excited to partner with other leading technology companies to give our small business cardholders access to myriad resources they need to thrive and meaningful cost savings on crucial purchases.”

New and enhanced benefits are available across Mastercard BusinessCard and World Elite Mastercard for Business, according to the release.

This announcement comes about a year after Mastercard rolled out another initiative meant to help small business owners: Strive.

“Over the next five years, Strive USA aims to provide support to 5 million small businesses in the U.S., with a focus on underserved business owners,” Mastercard said in its Monday press release.
