Are you adequately covered? Insurance-wise, that is? Can’t be too careful, with pandemics, happenstance and driverless vehicles to protect oneself from, financially at least.

The PYMNTS Provider Ranking of Insurance Apps covers the sector using intuitive insights combined with hard metrics. That’s our attempt at actuarial humor, a hit-and-miss proposition at best.

Grab proof of insurance and follow along as we walk the ramparts of the rankings.

The Top 5

Changes are evident up and down this month’s Provider Ranking of Insurance Apps, with one tied score sort of tossing a spanner in the works — but in a healthy competitive way.

New at No. 1 is Progressive gaining a spot, pushing Geico Mobile to No. 2.

The State Farm app is still good at No. 3, as is Allstate Mobile holding down No. 4.

Finishing out the Top 5 at No. 5 for another month is the USAA Mobile app.

That was relatively short work for the Top 5. It gets a little more complicated now.

The Top 10

Competition among brands is easy to see in the new Provider Ranking of Insurance Apps, as we start out No. 6 with a tied score: sharing that spot are the Jerry.ai app — which pulled off an impressive rise of three chart positions from last month — to tie with Liberty Mutual, up two spots itself for another rousing rise among the seemingly staid insurance sector.

Moving on, we’ve got Lemonade Insurance still sunny at No. 7, while Esurance Mobile drops two chart positions to No. 8 this month.

Farmers Insurance Mobile jumps up a spot to grab No. 9 in this latest ranking.

PYMNTS Provider Ranking of Insurance Apps welcomes Travelers Mobile to the Top 10 at No. 10 this month, which just packed 11 apps into the “Top 10.” Talk about added value.
