In this edition of Morning Brew — high school students learning how to be tech devlopers. They’re from Port Chester High School and the NYC Generation Technology, or Gen Tech, program run by NFTE. Technology innovation is something we think is pretty important. And since our company (and industry) depends on people who are proficient in the STEM fields, we know the importance of engaging students early to spark their interest. In fact, our CEO Ajay Banga was recently featured on the STEMblog talking about this very subject.

All summer the students have been learning how to be a tech developer — things like coding and being an entrepreneur in the technology space – and they have had MasterCard employees serving as mentors. Recently, some students paid a visit to MasterCard’s Purchase HQ to meet with our social media team and employees from MasterCard Labs. Hear what they had to say about the way we engage with consumers, and how to make the most of social media channels.
