Money Transfer Startup Raises $3M To Disrupt Cross-Border Payments

The Currency Cloud raised $3 million to support development of its cloud-based currency conversion and international payments platform for B2B transfers, TechCrunch reports.

Today’s $3 million raise will be added to a previous round of nearly $4 million, with Notion Capital, Atlas Venture and Anthemis Group among the company’s leading backers.

The Currency Cloud wants to compete on price with banks, which typically charge businesses four percent to process cross-border payments.
