Ten debit networks have selected Discover to provide a common debit application identifier for the U.S.’ migration to EMV Chip & PIN, according to Finextra.
“Discover has deployed D-PAS for the past four years and already has millions of cards in market among international issuers,” said Diane Offereins, president of payment services at Discover. “We are confident it is the right path forward for US debit networks.”
The ten debit networks are: AFFN, ATH, Co-Op Financial Services, Jeanie, Nets, Nyce, Presto!, Pulse, Shazam and Star.
