California-based online comparison shopping specialist PriceGrabber.com has purchased New York-based mobile fashion app provider Snapette, a press release revealed on August 20.

    TechCrunch indicated that this was PriceGrabber’s first acquisition since it was founded in 1999.

    “The addition of Snapette reinforces our commitment to investing in mobile ecommerce and expands the PriceGrabber platform to more effectively reach fashion shoppers,” Jeff Goldstein, president of PriceGrabber, said in a August 20 statement.
