Ten-Year Spanish Bonds See Bump As European Borrowing Costs Fall

Spanish bonds have risen after the country auctioned its 10-year debt as borrowing costs across the nation fall, reports Bloomberg BusinessWeek. The debt sold at the lowest yield since September 2010, and analysts speculate that the interest rates in Europe will remain low for longer than originally expected. The Spanish Treasury sold debt worth €4.71 billion that was to be paid off in 2016-2023. The Spanish bonds were sold at 4.612 percent, which is an average yield.
