UK Retailers, Public Organizations Lagging In Mobile Shopping Tech

According a new study released by Auros, retailers and public sector organizations in the UK have yet to fully take advantage of the mobile technologies that enhance shopper’s experience, reports The Paypers. Eighty-three percent of retailers are offering mobile-friendly sites for online consumers, while just 43 percent of the public sector were said to be doing the same. The study also indicated that 80 percent of retailers were active in the mobile application space. Even though retailers have exposed themselves to mobile applications, only a few reported they were taking full advantage of the channels potential to enhance the online experience. Only one of the 60 retailers that took part in the survey reported to have a website dedicate to tablet users.
