The ECB  wants to turn e-invoicing into the most common form of invoicing by 2020, and in accordance withat that goal  the Belgian Government is targeting  a  50 percent  e-invoicing rate  by 2020. The Mercurius platform supports that goal by providing a centralized platfor that is to be linked to every public services’ ERP package.  All electronic invoices that the Belgian government receives through this platform, will also be automatically integrated with Fedcom, the accounting system used by all public services.

“As a market leader for e-invoicing services in the Benelux region, we’re very pleased to have established this connection. The close cooperation between all parties involved was essential to this success. Now that the first e-invoice has been sent, we aim to help more of our clients connect with the system, so the government can receive a maximum number of invoices from suppliers electronically, said Pieter Geeraerts, Country Manager for Basware Belgium.
