A 44-year-old man reportedly was in jail late last week accused of bilking more than 100 alleged victims in a fraudulent ATM-investment scheme.
Michael Brendan Ferguson convinced the individuals to invest, allegedly bilking them out of $750,000, reports ATM Marketplace.

The scheme ended when an investor stopped receiving payment checks and placed calls to shopping malls where the alleged machines were located. When she discovered that none of them had heard of Ferguson, she called the FBI.
Federal prosecutors in a separate incident a year ago indicted eight men in connection with a series of ATM thefts that saw them steal more than $45 million.
