Digital River Teams With Salesforce to Launch B2B Commerce App

Digital River, the global eCommerce enabler, has rolled out an integration with Salesforce Commerce Cloud to help users add a new checkout solution with more comprehensive protections, a press release says.

The release says the new app will give B2B merchants the ability to work with Salesforce’s commerce capabilities alongside Digital River’s services for global payments, fraud, tax and compliance services.

The release says the sellers will be able to reach new markets as well as cut down on operational costs while simplifying the ways international sales can go.

Digital River does work on tax, fraud mitigation and regulatory challenges around the world.

The new app was reportedly built in partnership with Docmation, which has worked with the company to deliver the Salesforce Commerce Cloud solution, the release says.

Digital River has also teamed with Chargify, a billing and subscription management tool that has worked with B2B Software-as-a-Service companies.

The release says the partnership will work with letting Chargify customers manage payments, taxes and compliance requests.

“The result is a simplified, all-in-one eCommerce solution that enhances Chargify’s subscription capabilities while eliminating complexity and risk for their clients,” Digital River said.

The PYMNTS report says that the partnership will also help Chargify customers get an edge with specialized B2B billing and data management. It will help them convert subscribers with a more custom checkout experience.

Digital River was previously a full-stack eCommerce service company, until it changed in 2019 into a provider of flexible application programming interface (API) solutions, which offered new checkout functions as well as expansions into Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) solutions.

Digital River also reported recently that it’s hit a new record on the number of clients in the second quarter of 2021. That, according to the report, had surpassed the numbers from 2020 by 66 percent.

In addition, Digital River has also partnered with cloud-based business tax compliance automation platform Avalara, which will help businesses scale around the world.
