Unanet Debuts New Functionalities For ERP Software

Enterprise resource planning (ERP) company Unanet has rolled out a number of functionalities to add to its platform for architecture and engineering firms (A/E) in addition to government contractors (GovCons), according to a Tuesday (Jan. 5) announcement.

“Unanet is continually investing in its ERP to ensure it has the latest cutting-edge technology because that’s what our customers need to stay nimble and competitive in this complex economy,” Unanet Chief Product Officer Assad Jarrahian said in the announcement.

Unanet’s new release comes with four main improvements for GovCons in the areas of inventory integration, Unanet mobile, project central dashboard and contract management.

For example, the project central dashboard for GovCons serves as an interactive feature with the analytics studio that offers in-the-moment, integrated project and economic analytics. Moreover, bolstered contract management functions for GovCons let users register, monitor and reconcile the value and funding of a contract.

And, in the case of A/E clients, Unanet’s new functionalities offer a smoother deployment experience for accounting workforces, project managers and every desktop user.

Project central for web for A/E clients, in one case, offers in-depth project views with important data points throughout every project in one live source. Furthermore, purchasing for A/E clients is streamlined with simple management, support for workflow automations, and flexible set-up and approvals.

“Each function released today is specifically designed to resolve a pain-point that customers have expressed, while also integrating and simplifying processes,” Jarrahian said in the announcement.

Over 2,000 organizations rely on Unanet to transform their data to “to turn their information into actionable insights, drive better decision-making, and nurture business growth,” according to the announcement.

As one truth within the back office, the ERP system keeps playing a pivotal role throughout a number of functions — especially those that have to do with payments and finance, according to PYMNTS. In the construction vertical, the ERP is particularly valuable considering the intricate web of collaborators, and subsequent high volume of data, involved in one project.
