Verifone Ups The Game On Connected Commerce

Verifone just got deeper into the world of connected commerce with the rollout of Verifone Carbon, its new, integrated POS designed to transform the checkout experience.

According to Verifone, the rollout of this POS is geared toward connecting merchants to more opportunities and consumers to more seamless checkout options.

“Today, merchants need trusted tools and services to create simple, secure and engaging consumer shopping experiences and new ways to grow their businesses,” said Glen Robson, executive VP of Verifone Systems. “Verifone Carbon is our most well-designed and technologically advanced product ever.”

It’s a cutting-edge solution for merchants who want to experience the joy of truly frictionless commerce," he added.

Verifone Carbon was designed with café owners, quick service restaurants and retail stores in mind as it features dual high-resolution screens that are integrated into a stand with a built-in high-speed printer. There is also an option for a cash drawer at its base. Verifone also touted its portability and the ability to act as a mPOS. It accepts all forms of payment, including EMV and contactless payments.

Verifone Carbon comes equipped with Verifone’s Commerce Platform, an open, cloud-based and secure engagement platform where businesses can customize applications and services. More commerce experiences are anticipated to be added in the future through Verifone’s commerce-enabled MX and VX products, as well as next-generation devices, such as Verifone Engage.
