The Express Community Commerce program is currently in a pilot phase, but will roll out nationwide this fall.

Google Cloud Retail Search Aims To Solve $300B Abandonment Problem

Google Cloud this week is rolling out a new Retail Search product, built on Google’s decades of search experience, in an effort to reduce consumers’ search abandonment. Part of Google Cloud’s existing suite of tools for retailers, Google Cloud Retail Search is fully customizable and allows retailers to enhance consumer experiences with personalized results and relevant promotions.

Sally Beauty Sees Brightly-Colored Future As Consumers Focus On Self-Expression

An emphasis on self-expression following the COVID-19 pandemic is driving consumers to increase purchases of hair dyes, especially brighter colors, executives at beauty supplier Sally Beauty said on Thursday (July 29), pushing the company to strong sales growth in its third quarter. Sales in Sally’s hair color category increased 36 percent compared to 2020, and vivid colors grew by 52 percent in the U.S. and Canada. The company expects consumer demand for vivid hair colors to continue, with a new Sally Beauty vivid color line slated to launch later this calendar year.

iRobot Revenue Grows 31 Pct Despite $17M In Unfulfilled Orders

iRobot overcame COVID-related supply chain issues in China that led to $17 million in unfulfilled orders to end the second quarter of 2021 with revenue 31 percent higher than the same time last year. The growth primarily reflected “healthy demand” from retailers in North America for mid-tier and premium floor-cleaning robots and from retail and distribution partners in Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
