Square Seeks Spain-Based Businesses for Beta Test of Omnichannel Tools

Software, hardware and payments platform Square is seeking businesses in Spain to participate in the beta testing of its Early Access Program, which offers exclusive access to omnichannel tools.

The tools — currently used by millions of businesses worldwide — are intended to make it easier for businesses and freelancers to sell and deliver their services. Spanish merchants that enroll in Square’s Early Access Program can start using the products within days and without contracts or startup fees. Square hardware is available at no charge.

Part of Square’s European expansion, this new beta launch focuses on Spain, where 99 percent of companies are small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The company is striving to provide a complete suite of solutions that are necessary for businesses and entrepreneurs to launch, manage, adapt, and expand their companies, according to a Square press release.

Jason Lalor, Square’s executive director for Europe, said that the company’s “omnichannel ecosystem of hardware and software” is intended to help businesses of all sizes grow. Before the official introduction of its tools in Spain, the beta launch and partnership with businesses will help ensure “we deliver the solutions Spanish businesses need to thrive, both in person and online.”

Square provides an all-in-one platform with an ecosystem of integrated products that include launching an online storefront, physical card payments, inventory management, appointment scheduling and more, all developed with efficiency and growth in mind.
