Beyond Launches Tally to Streamline Payments for Short-Term Vacation Rentals

Beyond, a revenue management solution for vacation rental managers and owners, has unveiled Tally, a payment processing solution specifically designed for the vacation rental industry.

As noted in a Tuesday (Aug. 22) press release, Tally aims to tackle the payment friction experienced through direct booking sites, enabling property managers to maximize their revenue potential and streamline their payment operations, while ensuring a seamless experience for both themselves and their guests.

Commenting on the launch, Kameron Bain, director of strategy at Beyond, said due to the complex nature of managing payments for short-term rentals, “property managers need reliable, user-friendly, and efficient payment processing solutions tailored to their needs.” For this reason, “a property manager should never have to wonder how long a payment processor is holding their funds […] and we’re thrilled that Tally’s people-centered approach to accepting payments will further support our growth in the vacation rental industry,” Bain added.

The solution also offers a range of features to streamline payment processing, including a PCI-compliant payment gateway and fraud prevention and detection measures.

Tally also provides property management organizations with a behind-the-scenes dashboard to handle payouts and reconciliation, transactions, disputes, and automate collections through one-time payments or automated billing schedules.

When it comes to payment methods, property managers using Tally can now accept all major credit/debit cards, ACH, Apple Pay and Google Pay. The flexibility in offering payments enhances the checkout process and boosts conversion rates, the company said.

Beyond’s announcement comes a few weeks after travel/expense management platform SAP Concur announced that it is set to unveil a new booking experience that will create an “end-to-end booking experience across air, hotel, and car rental bookings” for  online travel company Sabre.

The platform, planned for launch next quarter, will include improved content and imagery, a smoother browsing experience, a streamlined booking process and improved search capabilities, the company said in a news release earlier this month.

“Sustainability continues to be a major priority for our customers,” the company noted. “With the new Concur Travel experience, travelers can view information and filters to help limit their carbon footprint and make sustainable choices, making it easier to comply with company policies and limit the environmental impact of business travel.”
