American Apparel CEO: Mobile Marketing is Key for Japan

American Apparel will make its first significant investments in mobile shopping and marketing in Japan — a place where mobile commerce is especially important, says the firm’s CEO.

“Mobile marketing is more important in Japan than in any other region,” said Dov Charney, the retailer’s founder and CEO, in a report published by Internet Retailer. “The majority of teenagers in Japan actually use their mobile phones for apparel shopping.”
