Barnes & Noble Suspects PIN Tampering, Data Theft

Barnes & Noble has detected tampering with PIN pad devices at 63 of its retail stores and has subsequently discontinued the use of all such devices across its 700 stores.

The stores affected are located in California, Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and Rhode Island. The company advises changing your PIN if you’ve recently made a purchase at any of the affected stores.
