Merchant Customer Exchange (MCX), a mobile commerce and payments platform, announced on December 9 that several new companies, including ExxonMobil and Rite Aid Corporation, have joined its list of members, the company reported in a press release.
Giant Eagle and Kum & Go were also listed as new merchant members. The new list brings MCX’s member list to 50 companies.
“Mobile payments will dramatically enhance the buying experience of our customers,” John Rhodes, Americas retail director at ExxonMobil, said in a statement. “We look forward to helping make the simplicity and security of mobile payments a reality for customers throughout the country.”
