ExxonMobil, Rite Aid Join MCX

Merchant Customer Exchange (MCX), a mobile commerce and payments platform, announced on December 9 that several new companies, including ExxonMobil and Rite Aid Corporation, have joined its list of members, the company reported in a press release.

Giant Eagle and Kum & Go were also listed as new merchant members. The new list brings MCX’s member list to 50 companies.

“Mobile payments will dramatically enhance the buying experience of our customers,” John Rhodes, Americas retail director at ExxonMobil, said in a statement. “We look forward to helping make the simplicity and security of mobile payments a reality for customers throughout the country.”
