Muse is designed to be simple to use. Users can communicate with the personal AI agent in the Muse app or in WhatsApp as if they were messaging another person, and they can tell it what needs to get done, according to the post.
Muse is powered by Meta’s Muse Spark model and runs on a dedicated virtual machine called Muse Secure VM, which houses both the agent and the user’s data to keep them secure, per the post.
“Unlike other agents, Muse was built to work for billions of people worldwide, so there’s no learning curve,” Meta said in the post. “Anyone can use it out of the box, no technical experience required.”

Muse can handle tasks such as sending an email or booking travel; can develop a personalized plan for users who have shared a goal with it; and can open a browser, fill out forms and negotiate on the user’s behalf. For bigger tasks, the personal AI agent can keep working after the user closes the app and come back when something changes or when it needs the user’s approval to send an email or make a purchase, according to the post.
Muse is equipped with Link built by Stripe, which enables it to pay at checkout, per the post.
Meta is rolling out Muse in the United States on iOS, Android and muse.ai, and plans to add it to AI glasses soon, according to the post.
“Meta thinks personal superintelligence will be one of the most transformative technologies of a lifetime,” the company said in the post. “Muse is a first step: an agent that takes on more of the work so people can focus on what matters to them.”
It was reported in May that Meta was planning to build an agentic AI assistant for consumers that is comparable to OpenClaw but easier to use.
PYMNTS reported in April that during an earnings call, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg covered the company’s long-term vision for AI, framing personal superintelligence as the company’s chief product goal.
