The new Mastercard Global Money Platform brings together Mastercard’s global payments capabilities and BVNK’s stablecoin infrastructure, and it marks the first major integration of these capabilities since Mastercard’s acquisition of BVNK in August, according to the release.
The Global Money Platform is now available through BVNK, per the release.
Banks, FinTechs and enterprises can use the Global Money Platform to embed multi-currency accounts into their own products, under their own brand, and to manage their own treasury, payments and settlement activity directly, according to the release.

The multi-currency accounts include fiat and stablecoins, real-time conversion, stablecoin-linked cards and local bank payouts, per the release.
The Global Money Platform’s services include sending, receiving, converting, storing, spending and earning. In the future, it will also support agentic commerce and other forms of regulated money, including tokenized deposits, the release said.
“Global Money Platform will become the single infrastructure layer not just for stablecoins, but for every form of money,” Chris Harmse, co-founder and chief business officer at BVNK, said in the release. “It will mean that enterprise customers like Nuvei, Ontop, Beem and Almond Fintech can build global financial products at scale, without having to build the underlying infrastructure together themselves.”
Raj Dhamodharan, executive vice president, blockchain and digital assets at Mastercard, said in the release: “We believe the future of commerce will be built on interoperability across multiple forms of money. Global Money Platform brings together Mastercard’s trusted payment infrastructure and reach with BVNK’s stablecoin capabilities, giving businesses a single foundation to move value across traditional and digital ecosystems.”
Mastercard completed its acquisition of BVNK in August, after announcing in March that it planned to acquire the company.
When announcing that the acquisition had been finalized, Mastercard said that the combination of the companies’ capabilities would help financial institutions, FinTechs and enterprises improve on use cases powered by stablecoins and tokenized assets, such as cross-border B2B payments and treasury flows.
In the Thursday press release, Harmse said: “With Global Money Platform, we’re delivering on our promise to connect BNNK’s technology with the scale and trust of Mastercard.”
