    In order to combat such cybercrime, the PSCI Security Standards Council has recently released new guidelines aimed at aiding developers, merchants and payments processors provide safer mPOS solutions.

    Much of this security revolves around cardholder data, or CHD for short. In fact, 96 percent of all data targeted in 2012 was CHD, and credit card fraud cost an estimated $5.55 billion globally in an increasingly targeted industry.
