BitPay Passes 10,000 Merchant Mark

Georgia-based bitcoin payment service provider BitPay has announced that more than 10,000 merchants now accept bitcoin through its service, TechCrunch reported on September 16.

    The 10,000 merchants are located in 164 countries, though the majority are located in North America. At this time last year, only 1,000 merchants were using the service, according to the media outlet.
