Ingenico, Nets To Launch mPOS For SMBs

France-based electronic payments provider Ingenico has partnered with mPOS specialist Nets on a new mPOS solution that will allow SMBs to use smartphones and tablets as secure payment terminals.

Nets will provide a fully operated system from the card reader to the transaction processing, and utilize the technology of Ingenico subsidiary ROAM.

“Together, we have developed innovative and secure mobile payment solutions for small merchants,” Jose Luis Arias, managing director at Ingenico, said in a statement. “This new development illustrates again that Ingenico is ahead in innovative solutions and confirms our privileged position to deliver our customers with mobile payment solutions.”

The companies expect the new payment solution to be available before the end of the year.
