Amazon has announced the launch of its third private label furniture brand: Ravenna Home.

“We are excited to expand our selection of private label furniture with the launch of Ravenna Home, our newest line of timeless everyday furniture offered at a great value. Ravenna Home makes it easier than ever for customers to furnish their homes hassle-free — without breaking the bank — with a range of beautiful sofas, chairs, coffee tables, lighting and much more to choose from. Customers shopping Ravenna Home receive free shipping and returns on all products within 30 days of delivery, and orders can arrive on their doorsteps in as little as two days from purchase,” an Amazon spokesperson told This Just In.

While Amazon’s Rivet offers mid-century modern styles and Stone & Beam boasts “casual comfort” furniture, Ravenna Home is described as “classic style made simple” and a “great value.”  The new brand has launched with 60 items.

Amazon is offering free shipping and free returns within 30 days of delivery on Ravenna Home as it does on all Amazon furniture brands.

Last year, a study found that the eCommerce retailer has more than tripled sales in the home furniture category since 2015. And, in 2017, furniture brought in approximately $4 billion.

“It’s clear that the furniture market is a valuable investment for Amazon, and it’s equally true that Amazon is a valuable investment for furniture brands,” stated One Click Retail’s “Furniture: The Amazon Effect” study.

In fact, furniture was the second fastest-growing segment of online retail in the U.S., with only groceries ahead of it, and around 15 percent of the $70 billion of the furniture market in the U.S. comes through sales on the internet.

“Furniture is one of the fastest-growing retail categories here at Amazon,” Veenu Taneja, furniture general manager at Amazon, said in a statement. The executive said Amazon is expanding its offering, including adding more Ashley Furniture sofas and Jonathan Adler home décor.
