The Top 5: Song Remains the Same

MoneyLion maintains its top spot in our newest Personal Loan App Provider Ranking, though we note gap between the leader and the second place contender has narrowed a bit. SoFi has advanced several points between reports, coming in just behind MoneyLion at a 97 tally, when last time that score had been 92.

Avant, as last time, is 12 points behind, with an 85 point showing at No. 3.

Upgrade fell three points but maintained its fourth-place rank with a 75-point standing.

Rounding out the top five once again is PaySense, which slipped from last month’s score of 75 to a recent 67.

    The Top 10

A bit of jockeying “below” the top five saw some names changing places — and some scores markedly being recalculated, too.

LendingTree displaced LendingClub this time around, coming in at No. 6. LendingClub landed in seventh place, but suffered a precipitous drop, from a score of 72 to a 39-point score.

One thing’s for certain amid the personal loan provider rankings:  Shifts, when they do come, can be dramatic — and the top of the heap might be anything but secure, month to month.
