Call him the Card Guru. Chief Product Officer Tim Murphy oversees MasterCard’s consumer credit, debit, prepaid and commercial businesses around the world.
“I think one of my favorite areas of innovation is prepaid,” he told PYMNTS.com. “Prepaid is all about bringing electronic payments to consumers who don’t really have access to mainstream financial services. We’re doing a lot in this space.”
In the United States, MasterCard is working to provide a credit score for consumers based on prepaid spending; the company is also looking at spend segmentation solutions for banking consumers. Hear more from Murphy in the clip below:
