New data from China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) has uncovered that the country’s online retail sales for the first half of 2013 have jumped 60.2 percent year-over-year, The Paypers reported.
At its current pace, this means retail eCommerce spending in China could reach $280 billion by the end of the year. This projected figure is higher than the $261 billion in online retail commerce expected in the United States through 2013.
