Rakuten Expands Services In Europe, Starting With UK

Rakuten, an eCommerce company based in Japan, revealed the beta testing of its Wuaki video streaming service has gone live in the UK, reported TechCrunch. The CEO of Rakuten said the UK launch was only the first phase of the company’s upcoming expansion into other areas of Europe. Rakuten reported the decision to begin in the UK was motivated by the country’s connection with the online space and its high rate of online video following.
