Report: UK Consumers Are Nocturnal Bankers

Recent research issued by Faster Payments announced that millions of UK consumers have taken full advantage of anytime banking services since its launch in 2008, reports Payments Council. The research revealed that many millions of British bankers are choosing to conduct bank transactions after work hours, and some even after midnight.

Thirty-nine percent of consumers use mobile or online banking to make a payment after 5pm during the weekdays. About 21 percent will make a payment on the weekend.

UK represents one of the three countries in the world to have access to services that allow 24 hour and 365 days a year immediate payment banking.
