German software company SAP has acquired eCommerce technology company hybris for an undisclosed amount, the companies announced yesterday.
SAP will use hybris’ combination of on-premise and cloud-based solutions to build out its eCommerce platform.
“Hybris puts SAP on the leading edge of the consumer economy,” said Bill McDermott and Jim Hagemann Snabe, co-CEOs, SAP AG. “With hybris, SAP has made a decisive move to raise the stakes in customer relationship management and define the next generation customer experience.”
All Things D reports that the deal is estimated at between $1.2 billion and $1.5 billion.
