Pluto Security’s product is designed to provide the complete enterprise security needed by companies whose employees are integrating AI agents, coding tools, browser extensions and other AI tools into their work, without hindering innovation or blocking access to those tools, Co-Founder and CEO Shahar Bahat said in the post.

“That vision is already translating into real impact at scale,” Bahat said. “Today, Pluto secures more than 1.5 million endpoints across enterprise customers worldwide, spanning diverse industries and including multiple Fortune 500 companies. Even some of the world’s leading AI companies trust us to secure their own AI environments (very meta, I know!). And along the way, we’ve reached multi-million-dollar ARR [annual recurring revenue] at a pace that still amazes us when we look back.”

TLV Partners said in a Tuesday post on LinkedIn that it has backed the Pluto Security team from the start and has seen the company build a company base of more than 40 enterprises in less than a year.

The early-stage venture capital firm said that “Pluto is building the security layer for the AI workspace, enabling enterprises to embrace AI innovation without compromising security.”

Jump Capital said in a Tuesday post on LinkedIn that it led Pluto Security’s Series A round, which accounted for $33 million of the $42 million in total funding raised by the company.

“They’re building what we see as the next generation of endpoint security built for the agentic era, a vision that reaches well beyond any single AI use case,” Jump Capital said in its post. “Pluto understands what a user or agent is actually trying to do, so security teams can secure the action in context instead of blocking the tool.”

PYMNTS reported Oct. 5 that companies deploying AI agents face a cybersecurity challenge that extends beyond protecting their own systems, because a compromised agent could become a vehicle for attacking customers, suppliers and other business partners.

The PYMNTS Intelligence report “AI at Work: Why Deeper Enterprise Use Produces Stronger Returns” found that almost all U.S. enterprises have adopted AI in some form.
