FIS, Microsoft Partner On Cybersecurity

FIS and Microsoft have announced a new cybersecurity partnership.

The deal includes the integration of FIS officials with Microsoft’s Cybercrime Center, which the company established in November. The two businesses also will work with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security on cybercrime initiatives, FIS said in a Feb. 12 press release.

“FIS has a leading role in setting and maintaining security standards for the financial services industry worldwide,” Greg Montana, FIS executive vice president and chief risk officer, said in a statement. “Cybersecurity has no end state, and we embrace the opportunity to work collaboratively with industry leaders such as Microsoft to continually advance and further strengthen the banking and payments industry for financial institutions and their customers across the globe.”

FIS also will serve as a cybersecurity research partner for DHS.
