PayPal Here, PayPal’s app for merchants, is making its way around the world. This time, it’s landed in the United Kingdom and gained a partnership with the holding company Wolseley UK who is set to offer the PayPal Here devices for £49.95 ($78.23 USD).
The PayPal Here device is designed to help merchants offer their customers quick and secure payments through PayPal’s card reader. PayPal Here is a chip and PIN card reader that works with the PayPal Here app. The reader can be paired with an iPhone, iPad or Android device and customers can pay with debit and credit cards. Like its competitors, there are no monthly fees for PaylPal Here, users just pay for the card reader and a small fee per transaction. Wolseley UK brings value to PayPal by linking it with its several well-known United Kingdom builders merchants.
“We want to help our customers get paid quickly for the work they do and with a PayPal Here device, late payments, customers with no cash, and cheques that bounce should be a thing of the past, said Jeremy Maxwell, multichannel director at Wolseley UK. “We’ve secured the lowest price around until March 1, 2015, so make sure you get yours before they go,” he wrote to customers.
