Another day, another breach, this time cosmetics supplier Sally Beauty has seen its corporate databases hacked and the credit and debit card data of its customers exposed.

According to security blogger Brian Krebs, a new batch of 282,000 stolen debit and credit cards hit the underground marketplace earlier this week, and all evidence points to Sally Beauty’s 2,600 stores.

Sally Beauty’s spokeswoman Karen Fugate told Krebs the company had received an alert from Tripwire, an intrusion-detection program, that certain key files had been modified. A further investigation did not find any data had been lifted from the system, but the investigation is ongoing.
