The network provides a two-sided marketplace for agent-payable data in which anyone can publish a feed, and any agent can pay per call with x402. Dataline acts as the routing layer for AI data, providing API responses that include an AI confidence score based on source reliability, freshness and consistency, according to the release.

So far, Dataline has powered 19.4 million on-chain transactions and has grown a community of more than 300,000 people worldwide, the release said.

Dataline’s funding round was co-led by Lattice and Samsung-backed Dispersion Capital, with participation from Symbolic Capital, per the release.

Dataline also announced in the release that it has organized the initial cohort of AI Data Launch partners. This cohort includes AI and Web3 projects that aim to establish the best data for AI, according to the release.

In addition, builders on Base and Robinhood Chain will get free access to Dataline, per the release.

Robinhood Crypto reposted on X a Sept. 24 post from Dataline that said: “Free for Robinhood Chain Builders: Dataline’s AI-native Intelligence Layer. API calls embedded with AI-graded confidence scores. Price, funding, positions, prediction markets, all scheme-normalized for agent-native execution. Stop stitching APIs. Start shipping agents.”

In the Saturday press release about the funding round, Dataline Co-Founder Nuo Shi said: “After building AI agents ourselves, we realized that clean and reliable data is the lifeblood of AI. Today’s AI is capable enough to know what data it needs, sometimes better than we do. So we built an open network that not only delivers the most reliable data streams, but also lets AI request help to gather the data it can’t reach on its own.”

The PYMNTS Intelligence report “Scaling Enterprise AI: Why Organizational Readiness Now Determines ROI“ found in April that the main adoption barriers to enterprise AI are the data, systems and internal structures needed to put it to work at scale.

Meanwhile, PYMNTS reported Friday (Oct. 30) that Apple acquired Ascension Labs, which does business as Ascend.io and is a provider of “software used to automate and manage data pipelines.”
