Cart.com Adds FB Flurry for Next-Day US Delivery

Cart.com, FB Flurry, partnership

eCommerce-as-a-Service platform Cart.com on Monday (Jan. 10) acquired direct-to-consumer (D2C) tech-focused fulfillment and customer care platform FB Flurry.

This partnership will give Cart.com increased marketing services, fast-growing fulfillment, customer service and operational capabilities.

FB Flurry distributes more than 35 million product units each year from four fulfillment centers in Texas, Utah and New Jersey, using advanced technologies to support clients with 50,000 or more product listings, handling shipments valued at more than $500 million a year for D2C brands.

It also offers around-the-clock customer care from a 200-seat service center with intelligent routing as well as phone, chat, email and social media capabilities for brands.

“To support today’s top eCommerce brands requires an end-to-end operational support system that encompasses the entire customer journey,” Omair Tariq, CEO and co-founder of Cart.com, said in the joint announcement. “FB Flurry understands that, and they’ve built an amazing high-volume support network that spans fulfillment, customer support, strategic planning and more.

“Their customer-focused, tech-forward approach to omnichannel support perfectly complements Cart.com’s powerful suite of end-to-end eCommerce tools and services.”

FB Flurry’s application programming interface (API)-first order management system enables rapid onboarding for new clients, innovative shipping and return options, real-time analytics and actionable insights. The company also uses a proprietary warehouse management system that combines human insights and automation.

Cart.com will integrate FB Flurry’s capabilities into its network of logistics, customer care and operational support centers, including eight fulfillment centers that opened in 2021. This will triple Cart.com’s footprint to more than 2 million square feet, allowing for next-day delivery options for most U.S consumers.

The combined Cart eCommerce platform has processed more than $3 billion in gross merchandise value (GMV) over the past 12 months. Flurry’s 400-plus employees will join Cart.com as part of the deal.

“We enable eCommerce success not just with technology and industry expertise, but by putting our customers first and treating every single business we work with as a true partner,” FB Flurry Founder and CEO Jeff Zisk said in the joint announcement. “What excited me most about Cart.com is that Omair and the leadership team fully share our customer-centric vision.

“They’re channeling that passion to create a groundbreaking end-to-end solution for today’s online sellers.”
