Each year, Amazon hosts Prime Days during which the eCommerce site offers up flash sale discounts on thousands of items.
With savings on everything from television sets and clothing items to kitchen accessories and backyard toys, many consumers take advantage of — and look forward to — shopping Amazon’s discount days. The next Prime Day is scheduled for July 11, 2017.
One retailer looking to hop on the Amazon Prime Day bandwagon is J.C. Penney. While consumers are gearing up to shop around Amazon this weekend, the big box retailer is hoping to lure some of those shoppers over to its own website with its second annual two-day sale, dubbed Penney Palooza, to be held July 10-11, 2017.
Anyone with a J.C. Penney’s credit card will receive an extra 30 percent off, and non-card holders will receive 25 percent off their purchases. Penney Palooza will also offer free shipping on any order totaling more than $49.
Given the popularity of Amazon Prime, it’s likely that we’ll see several other retailers jumping on Prime Days to put out promotions of their own.
